The price of the 335is is 50k. Base price of a 2011 135i is 39,925. Pricing seems fair. They will only make enough to meet demand. No repeat of Z4M.

i really think the 1M will be a great performing car. However, i think it is really sad that we expect cars to cost this amount of money. To put it into perspective, at $47k with no additional options, the car will be slightly over $50k out the door (you know the dealers are selling at MSRP). That means you need to put down $20k cash to have a $600/month car payment. Add in insurance at say $160/month (for the people that can afford the car may be of a certain age group) and your out of pocket expense for this car is $20k down and $760/month.
That is a ridiculous amount of money for the car, especially when there are so many great cars in that price range. hell you can get a used Z4M with sub 30k miles for high 20's with CPO. Is the 1m $20k more car?

BMWs are for rich people, not for most enthusiasts. Many of us can afford one, but it will somehow impact us financially in the future whether we realize it or not. This is why I have a sportbike, 11 second 1/4 miles, well under $10g and 40+ MPG.

Not hitting my lust-button at that price (and wombat is a good word for the look, ha ha). BMW is as bad as Porsche when it comes to options raising the price.
