what is up with this recent wave of insane american cars...
the shelby gt500 is due this summer, 500hp/480 torque for a whopping price range of 40-50k. this will be direct competition with the c6 vettes, making the production of the blue devil even more necessary IMO.
then we got all the srt8's, and the incoming (supposedly) camaro and challenger....
i think the US is going absolutely bananas, diving into the performance car market like crazy. and so far i think they're doing pretty darn well. i can't believe someone can just put simple bolt-on's on a 50k car (shelby gt500) and have a car that's as fast or faster than the c6z, which is already a beast.
put the blue devil into the picture.....wow.
and did i mention how damn sexy the shelby gt500 looks!!!

I don't want to go off topic, and to a large extent you are right. Then again look what the fuel crisis in the 70s did to big gas guzzeling barges. Challenge Stradale = worth it. SRT-8 Charger? Not so sure....

This has next gen NSX all over it.
I will believe it when I see it because Ive been hearing about it for a year.
Besides, arnt people putting out 60 or 80 more HP by making some small adjustments anyways?
If they'd come out with a C6R replica (even if its just a C6Z06 with the body goodies), Id be game.

one good thing that'll comes out of this is that the Z06 price will drop since there will be less of a demand.

I hope wallace is listening...
Notchback please
Before anyone mentions it, I know that the notchback isn't good aerodynamically speaking, but it looks way better. Let's face is 90% of the buyers for this car aren't going to track it. They just want a badass looking car with high power, and low production.
