It does nothing for me. Its probably fun, but my local roads are so plugged up, it is rare I get to use all the power my torqueless S2000 gives me.
I am a believer that there is fast enough, but I realize I am in the the minority here. I also don't have a race track nearby so it just street driving for me.
But once the cash get up above $100k, I take a slower Porsche for sex appeal and style than the Chevy, no matter how much it would stomp the Porsche in the quarter.

JonBoy, maybe CF driveshaft? Lighter alloy diff? More CF body panels? Lighter seats? Fully electric brake system? There are costly things they can still do to reduce weight.
You start adding CF body panels and your cost skyrockets. CF driveshaft is VERY doable - I hadn't thought of that - and it'd save quite a few pounds. A fully electric brake system isn't going to go on a streetable race car, I don't think, and it's necessarily too different to add to the car. That's something you'll want to spread cost over a number of models, a la Mercedes Benz.
They went pretty extreme to knock of their current weight savings. To go much further is going to take some VERY extreme measures that I personally don't feel will be cost effective at their level.

What if GM produced a version of the Vette that has Z06 power and weight, but they sunk another $30k into the interior?
