Can you imagine a lighter Z06 with 145 more horsepower?

I hope that they begin to offer these engines as a stand alone option... I like having an open top.

If that's true, I really wonder if the chassis could reasonably handle it.

As much as it seems crazy given the state of GM's finance, it also seems like a sane option.

I'm surprised I'm saying this, but how much faster can the Vette go? There are levels higher than what even the new Z06 achieves, but this sounds like one of those "bragging rights" cars that people get only to say it's 2/10ths faster than the regular Z06 and handles slightly better.

The one area this car should improve on to make a splash is top speed. If they sell a car that can hit 210+, for (I'm guessing) $80-100k, then it'll be an unbelievable hit I think. Otherwise, if it's what the SL65 is to the SL55/SL600, then forget it, IMO.

If they were to make the car, I just hope they won't keep the name. It sounds too "rednecky".

same could be said for Enzo, Carerra GT, McLaren.
but people still produce them.
If I could afford it, I would.
