Default Bike riding instructor?

Can someone recommend a good private instructor? MSF course seems like too much hassle to sign up for. And I don't have that much time these days.

Errr... Are you asking for something like a one-on-one for a couple hours? With no riding instruction? No course to practice on? No laws education?

Check out the S2000 or Motorcycle thread to get an idea of how much time, effort and concentration is required to ride a bike. You might want to rethink the amount of commitment riding a bike requires - there's no quick and easy way.

The MSF course is really the best way to get started on a fun and safe riding career. A weekend plus one evening isn't very much time at all...

Find yourself any licenced MSF instructor and pay him/her to give you private lessons. A "friend" of a friend of a friend will only kill you.

Why did you buy a motorcycle if you don't even have enough time for a class that'll help to save your hide? You're just not going to get the same quality of instruction.

If you still want private lessons, I'll provide them for rountrip airfare and other travel expenses.

LOL It seems like California is a desirable destination. I feel so spoiled because sometimes I complain about LA smog. I really shouldn't be complaining.
