Winner

73 beetle bought for 400$ 1000$ in repairs drove it for three years ~30,000K miles. Sold it for 2500$ made money on my 917 my last fj40 and my last spitfire

Loser my S definitly I wish I could get rid of it for what I paid but I love it to much , will more then likly drive it into the ground and go through a few motors in the process, its the first car I have not thought about trading seriou

+ ='99 Civic Si (electron blue) Paid $14,700+++ put on 6,500 miles on and sold for $16K. About 6 mos. and the profit paid for all interest on the loan, all maintenance, and probably the gas. (+ $210 per mo.)
'85 BMW 535is Paid $2,200 - put another $1,100 into it and sold for $5,200 , 2 1/2 years and 60,000 miles later. Paid me to drive it.
(+ $64 per mo.)

- ='01 Saturn SC2: $13,600+++ Added around $5,000 in mods. Drove for 1 year and 13,000 miles and sold for $12,750,
(- $490 per mo.)
The S will be on the (-) list too...probably best to just drive it into the ground. Hope the F20C can go 150K w/o a rebuild.

Biggest gain. We had a vw bug that my dad bought for $400.00 and drove for 6 years and sold for $600.00.

Loss...Another VW....Carman Ghia...bought restored for $3500 and in 2 years sold for $500.00.

After taht it was 1980 and it's been mostly Hondas and no major losses.

I bought a 1978 Fiat X1/9 in 1981 for $3,000 sold it 10 months later for $5,000.

I bought a 1986 Porsche 951 3 years ago had a total of $16,000 invested owned it for 20 months, sold it for $7,000.

I also bought a new Fiat Brava (don't laugh) in 1982 for $9,200 sold it 4 years later with about 50k on it for $1,100.
