Too bad we can't get the hardtop 3.2L 6sp version in the US...that's why I prefaced everything with "US" up top, cuz the hardtop 3.2L 6sp (any) would be my top pic.

I bought a 2002 because:
1) the 3.2Ls are the fastest (97+), even though they weigh a little more.
2) I wanted a 6sp
3) I like the updated design
4) warranty
5) depreciation is so little, why not spend a LITTLE more and get a MUCH newer car?
6) In canada, I think that there are fewer than 10 02+s in the country. Ive never seen another one.
7) Dealer had it sitting on their lot for 2 years, unsold. Price was inline with comparable C4.
The only bad news is that 20 miles after buying it, I stored it for the winter. Springs coming anyday now.

I vote for the '94. It has the bigger wheels, the more feelsome unassisted steering, and the fixed roof. It's not as quick as the later cars, but I consider it to be more "pure".

I thought that US didn't get coupes at all from 97 onwards? Oh well, we still get the coupe version from 02 +, and thats the model I'd get...if I could afford it that is.

Speaking of valve jobs, maintenance on those cars is astronomical. My brother spent something like $3500 for a valve job, timing belt repl., clutch repl., and new brakes. Car (MY92) drives great again, but dang!!
Clutch + brakes probably $1K-$2K on most cars (no ?)
