Add another vote for the F355
. Havn't heard it in person yet but I think the F360 Challenge Stradale might just top the exhaust note of the F355. I've heard a couple sound clips online & it sounds truly amazing, can't even imagine what it would sound like in person.

Holy crap, some people have never heard a Viper at balls out, or any big block yankee gas guzzler (try a '67 tri-power vette). I'd have to say the most fearsome exhaust sound I've ever heard came from a Mustang 5.0, modded to the sky, with a Supertrapp - makes the whiny Ferrari exhaust note seem feminine in comparison, like it's running away in fear. Second to that was a Supra Turbo with some kind of aftermarket pipes, which was actually pretty much silent until it went into hard acceleration - when it let out a sudden, truly vicious snarl.

I haven't had the fortune of hearing a Stradale at full wail in person myself, but given that the F355 on video sounds pretty darn close to an F355 in real life (just the "impact" is less on video), the Stradale on video sounds too much like any other car with its cats removed. It's just an unrefined bahhhhh noise. Much too rough.
On the other hand, the F355 sound is like butter. Different types of smoothness throughout the rev band.
Now to bring it back home, the S2000 in car doesn't sound all that great. There's no boomy sense of power. From the outside, though, it does have a distinctive wail ya just gotta love. I believe it's one of the loudest production cars out there at full throttle? Even louder than the F355?

Sounds like I need to hear a 355 with a Tubi in person. I've heard a stock 360 in the flesh, and to tell the truth, I was a little disappointed -- it sounded constricted, like someone had crammed a silencer into the exhaust. I can imagine it would sound awesome with the exhaust uncorked, though.

You guys are gonna shoot me for this comment, but the other day I heard an Infiniti FX45 at full throttle and I was shocked at how deep and throaty it sounded. Yeah, they're ugly...but man it sounded so good.
