The Ford was a great driving car and I'm sure it would be fine, but I have more confidence in Honda's engineering/reliability. The car has been great so far. I've been averaging 27mpg and the car is fun to drive, although the Focus would have been more entertaining to drive. The car is quiet on the highway, and the motor makes a great sound when you start pushing it. I really appreciate the usable torque from the 2.4 motor. As much as I like my S2000, sometimes I get tired of reving to 7000 rpm just to keep up with V6 family sedans.

I was really close to getting the WRX, but we already have a CRV and I din't feel like we need two 4WD vehicles. When I'm done with school we'll probably trade in the CRV for a WRX. I really don't feel the need for 4WD, even in MN, but it is nice on occasion. Especially this year.
Good choice.

I only keep an awd because otherwise I can be forced to chain up.

Never run into a snow situation decent tires required awd.

Wow, under $20,000 for a new Si with navigation, not bad at all.

That's a crazy price - easily the best deal I've seen on one.

I didn't see a mention of navi - did it come WITH navi at that price? That's insane.

Damn!!! I'm jealous. At that kind of price, it makes me want one...

OK, full disclosure. I got with it with navi for $20,250, but they threw in a $500 dealer credit which I used on a 3M clear bra.

So far I'm very happy with the car.

Congrats man. Can't go wrong with the Si as a DD. It's a great car. Enjoy! I used to have an Si, but I sold it to get my S.

I was in the market for another DD for the last six months. I decided to go the hot hatch route this time and went with the Focus ST pretty much at the same price as your Si OTD. I got the ST1 package because I really didn't like the Recaros.

Implying you can't flash tune the ST and delete the cat.

Thanks! Enjoy your Focus ST. The motor in that thing has some serious grunt.
