I ran one from 60 - 150 and kicked it's sh!t in good. The 996 Carrera has 295 horse I think, E46 333 horse. My E46 is stock right now no mods, I would have exhaust mods at least but just fixed my s2000. I pulled it multiple car lengths, no contest, you're comparing class I guess is about it. Just my opinion.

I'll agree with you here though. I've never ran a C2, but the 993 is class.

the pre 02s had 295bhp, the new carreras have 320bhp....it should still be a driver's race regardless

Maybe it should be a drivers race, I haven't been ran yet. I'm sure the time will come, a 993 TURBO S, or 996 Turbo will beat my ass back, but the Carrera doesn't pull as hard. I'm going by my experience, not by science. Anyhow that's how it went down. Good luck on your car.

My fault man, the 996 I ran was a 2000, I also ran a (98) both are rated at 295. I do see what your saying about 320 horses on the 2002's - ^. I'll have to find out.

thx...i still haven't decided 100%....something inside me is telling me to drop the extra 20 grand and get a porsche. Don't know how good of a daily driver that would be though...no room. I know the M3 has as much room as i'd ever need in a car, and as much performance as i'd ever need on the street as well. But the Porsche is the Porsche.

The RWD carrera has 320bhp and weighs 3,020 lbs
The E46 M3 has 333bhp and weighs 3,415 lbs
