Like which cars with 3.2 or 3.5 L engines. 350z is very powerful, styling is ok, but it's not nowhere as nimble as S2000 or RX8. Same for G35c. Honda accord coupe is not as good in styling.

If you like American Muscle, Mustang GT has a 4.6L engine, and comes in auto, not a nimble car, but pretty fast in the straights..

I'd say the BMW M3 SMG tranny in Automatic mode. Forget anything with a torque converter...

i agree with the MR2 w/ their F1 box or whatever toyota calls it. i'd stay away from a torque converter at all costs in a sports car.

Not to take the thread in a different direction but why do you want your sports car to be an auto? If it's simply a matter of you not being able to drive stick i'd say you'd be much happier if you just learn and go with it.

i agree with you on that. the is300 is an amazingly nimble and quick shifting car. but i do have one quesion: is there anyway to get the manual (auto) shifter to start from 1st gear instead of 2nd?? that's probably the only thing that annoys me with that car...

yup....my choice as well.

basically a toss up between the M3/C32/new S4.

btw, was watching motortrend televsion on the weekend....C32 did 0-60 in 4.7s - STOCK!!

that's a couple 10th's quicker than the comparo new S4.

also did like a 13.2 or something in the 1/4....again, it was quicker in the 1/4 than the S4.

editor picked the S4 overall due to option of manual tranny....i can understand that.....i don't agree, but i understand......
