Not my thing anymore but saw the pic and though it looked pretty neat. Although "no plans to bring to US" comment all too familiar. I think a 2.0 turbo would be a hit here with the tuner crowd.

It's probably easier to sell a $35k civic hatchback in Europe than the US.

Probably true, but VOlkswagon seems to have torque steer pretty sorted out in the Golf. It would be interesting to see how Honda handles it. Sucks how Honda has something sporty in the works and says "Not for US." Well shit.

Not all FWD is bad actually; my friend's Focus ST has over 300lb/ft of torque at the wheels, and although it has some torque steer it will still keep up with me in most corners and doesn't over steer too bad. As long as Honda is clever about it (like Ford's torque vectoring) it will be fun.

I hope it comes with a backup camera.

I love the idea of this car. I have a 2010 GTI with over 300 ft lbs of torque and you can run through the gears without having your hand on the wheel (unless the road is uneven). Front wheel drive done right can be pretty awesome and I'd love to see Honda's take on the hot hatch.

With that said, the car above looks like an Autobot. I'm a 40 year old guy and I can't drive to work in a transformer.

I hope this will be as fast as the S2000

But seriously, I think it looks fantastic for a Civic, and being turbocharged, it will be a great and desired product to many.
