Default Battery powered dragster...

We saw this at a car show this weekend. Pretty cool. It got a ton of batteries behind the driver's seat and uses a giant truck starter motor to transfer power to the wheels. The cool thing was that it generated 1000 pound feet of torque INSTANTLY and over 600 ponies...propelling the car to about an 11 second 1/4 and I think about 125 mph. I had not seen one of these before...pretty cool stuff. It would be funny to see a car take off like this in TOTAL silence.

The car was named Bad Amplitude.

They were working on shaving weight off the car...pretty cool stuff.

This isn't the same exact car that was at the show, but here are some stats on another electric dragster from the same folks...

LOL! Yea, you could just have the power cord coiled up on a big reel...
