Default Bangle kicked upstairs! YES!

This should have happened sooner. [QUOTE]Bangle moved to exec role
BMW says he will oversee design units

By James R. Crate, Automotive News / February 09, 2004

After a three-year drumbeat of criticism over the company's design direction, BMW AG last week relieved controversial chief stylist Chris Bangle of direct responsibility for BMW brand design and moved him into a senior executive role.

Yeah, I read this last week on another website... unfortunately I had another take on it. Hopefully Bangle WILL NOT have a more global influence over all the BMW brands by being in this "higher" position. I for one would rather him leave the company all together before I take my sigh of relief.

good for BMW. ignoring the critics and going with what they know is the best direction. in a few years time the new designs of BMW will be MUCH more accepted.

Yeah, this might not be a change for the better. Adrian van Hooydonk was chief designer on the current 7 series....
