The track operators and/or racing organization had better suspend that asshole.

Watched this last night... that guy is a serious asshole pulling a move like that and could have realy gotten someone hurt. I hope he gets banned from the track and/or racing.

funny how quickly people jump to conclusions..... not saying he did or didn't do this on purpose, but with racing you are normally required to wear a hans device which limits your neck movement (so everyone doesn't die like Dale Earnhart did)..... he appears to look in his rearview mirror but possibly the other Miata was in his blind spot? you can't turn your head to look back with a hans on so.....

obviously a shitty deal for the wrecked dude but I don't know based on that video that the front guy did that on purpose...

Right, but he swerved hard in that direction. He was obviously trying to shut the door on him.

I lol'ed at "cock!" right before the video cut. Glad he was okay, though.

I think it's safe for me to conclude after watching the video that the guy I the red Miata checked his mirror, saw he was going to be overtaken, and ran the guy off the track.

Ban him and never let him back.

Assumptions.

While I agree, it does look like it was intentional... but, considering it was pretty wet and the white miata tossed himself off track due to some questionable traction issues, who is to say that the other guy didn't have similar issues? maybe something broke?

But, yeah, initially, I'd be pretty peeved if that happened to me; but with everything, there are two sides to every story.

I believe the person was fined, lost points, and was banned from the track. I'm not entirely sure on the last part but at least his actions received punishment.
