I saw in a car mag this week that BMW had confirmed the 1M is coming but will probably have a 4-cylinder turbo making 300 hp, give or take (BMW is debuting 4-cylinder motors in North America in the next gen 3-Series, I believe).

I wonder if it's the new TT 4-banger that's (was) being talked as a motor option for the Z2?

Pretty sure it is (or the "hot" variant of that motor).

Hmm, maybe I wasn't too far off with my previous post regarding a 4-cylinder ^^^

Regarding naming, again, see my post above ^^^

M125i ( or M135i if it uses the 6-cylinder) makes a lot more sense than "M1" or "1M" or "1xxM".

They will not be calling it an M1. I'm surprised they are putting such wider fenders when they didn't do it with the new M3 line.
The e90/92/93 m3 definitely has wider fenders than the regular 3 series.

mm. I always did have a thing for the 1series.. I was looking at leasing a 135i for a year or two just for shits and giggles until I learned they dont have a LSD option!

135i + M packaging = sex on wheels. However, if they chopped the top and got rid of the back wheels the Z4 would be gone forever.
