Having driven all of the above, here's my .03:

EVO: Best friggin sportscar ever made that doesn't require a bloated bank account to buy or own. You really want to piss passengers off? Remove the "oh sshit" grab handles. My first impression driving the car was complete disbelief. I still can't believe that corporate execs approved such a race-ready street car. This car ain't for sissies and the suspension (thank god) will surely spit a latte all over the occupants. The only other car I'd consider tracking out of the box is a Z06.

Neon SRT: Hooligan car for sure. Ride quality and interior quality surprised me, as did the prodigous power. If I was only 19......

RX-8: Cool car, very stylish, but mediocre performance and questionable reliability.

WRX? Hell no. Suspension is sloppy, handling is vague, seating position is 100% Buick, shifter is notchy and numb, interior quality is equivalent to a rental car after 20K miles. It's got great potential, but the STi will save you money if you're thinking about modding the stock WRX.

If I ever ball my stripped and SC'd S2000 into a wall at the track or end up at the bottom of a ravine (and survive), the first thing I'll do when I get out of the hospital is plunk down $30K at the Mitsu dealer.
have to agree..the EVO is an absolutely BLAST to drive!!! It FEELS fast and IS fast. Can't wait for the MR...it's a great time to be a car enthusiast
