I believe that Audi has to bring more qualified mechanics on board first...they need to be able to service the car when it breaks.

On the audi web site they say price info for the RS4 will be out in the spring.

I'm curious to see the price of the S8. I read it'll be under $100K which sounds very good when you consider the A8 W12 starts at $118K and they will be similar in power with the S8 having the benifit of being more sporty and should weigh a lot less. They say the S8 picke up ~70 lbs over the A8 V8 while the W12 ~400 lbs heavier than the V8 car.

W12 has 450hp and 428-TQ while the V10 (in the S8) has 450hp and 398-TQ

The S8 9V10) hands out 398 lb.-ft. of torque at a lowly 3500 rpm, with 90% of that on tap at just 2,300 rpm
W12: 428 lb-ft @ 4000 - 4700 rpm

I want to know how they can justify the price of the RS4. Seems like a great car, but not at that price. They should have replaced the S4 with it and kept the price between $50-60k.

I agree. I love the RS4, but for about $10k more, you can bump up another size and power level (E55, M5, et al)

There is no price for the RS4 yet (price not released in the US).

I've been looking into this. The price is out in the UK and it's the same as the Q7.

The Q7 price is out in the US starting at $49K. This is it.

LOS ANGELES - With the North American debut of the 2007 Audi Q7 performance SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Audi announced pricing for the Q7 4.2 quattro model starting at an MSRP of $49,900 (not including $720 destination charge).
I saw C&D had an est. price for the RS4 of $85K. I said that was BS and it is BS. Audi has a V10 S6 and a S8 on deck.

These cars should be in the $55k-65K (RS4), $75K-$85K (S6) and $95K-$105K(S8) range.

THEY ARE NOT GOING TO BE "$10K under a M5"

The M5 goes to mid-$80 to mid-$90s and should be placed against the S6 or RS6 (if they make one) and the RS4 should go against the next M3

I like the RS4, it's just too bad we aren't getting the pimp seats and steering wheel.

Lets say that the Audi RS4 and the new Porsche Cayman cost the same, which one would you get? I really want a four door sedan because I am keeping my S2000, but if the Audi is more expensive than the Cayman, I would probably go for the Cayman.
