one article i read when they were announcing a production model based on the Bond car was that "its not the replacement for the Vanquish... it will be its own model... although the Vanquish has been discontinued"

i interpreted that as... "its the replacement for the Vanquish, but were not gonna say that, cause we might come out with a faster car later"

i LOVE Aston's... i just wish theyd stop being traded around the automotive block like an expensive whore and stick to 1 company that actually believe's in it... it clouds its heritage somewhat... same for Lamborghini... compared to Ferrari and Porsche...

and Aston is almost afraid to take on Ferrari.. they go to pains to state that its not a Ferrari competitor, thus it has less HP... I think they should add HP and take Ferrari head on... the car looks good enough to take away Ferrari sales ... i dont think any other company can do that... JMO...

The video clip was removed.
I agree that it's one of the most beautiful cars ever created.
Was it a manual transmission, or a paddle shift?
I would KILL to have one in manual trans.

It will come as a manual for the first production cars, with the automatics later.

^ I see. Maybe in 20 years, I could save enough $$ to put a down payment.

I read somewhere that the Vanquish is discontinued until 2010 when a true replacement is due. So the DBS isn't so much a replacement as gap filler.
