To all those who are confused about my comment...

The TVR Sagaris can do 198mph with only 400hp.

BTW, tHE fact that somebody posted the top speed of a Z06 with that much hp only supports my comment.
stop posting for a second
and go play gran turismo.

spend some time with "gearing ratio" and
it will all come to sense.

Whats all this BS about top speed? how many people posting on this thread have been anywhere near 200 mph? Even worse, who's got the skills to need a 200+ mph top speed? So let's stick to your opinions on the car itself, huh?

no too exciting actually....pretty ho hum. I am sure it's a fun car, but for 235k pounds.....no way.
From memory you also get a time share in a circuit (Spain?) for that money.

The 5 litre V8 is a tweaked old model BMW M5.

edit:
as far as the tvr sagirs this page (http://www.tvr-eng.co.uk/)says 400HP and 195mph @2500lbs. I am sure gearing is most important for running that high. the carrera GT has 620hP and only does 205, what's wrong with it?? Maybe, just maybe they decided ~200 is fast enough and their is no reason to gear it to run faster....maybe.
Really? Gearing?

Have you seen the 0-60 on the TVR?

Come back when you do.

Looks good except for the side-profile. The front is too low compared to the rear. What's the price?

Ummm have you studied aerodynamics and know that to produce more downforce and make a car stable at those speeds (200+) you are inevitably going to be creating more drag which must be overcome with the power of the engine which limits the top speed even further. Sure you could make a 500 hp car do 300 mph, but that thing would be all over the place and probably lift off and shred itself to pieces, or a small gust of wind will throw it into an uncontrollable spin .............which i guess you think is what a car should do right?
