I couldn't put this book down. I freely admit that something got in my eye a few times while reading. It's very, very good.

Yeah, I saw that and was curious because of the racing angle. But then I heard that it's quite sad at parts, and I don't enjoy being sad so decided to pass.

I wonder if this could be adapted into a good F1 based movie though.

I'm reading this book right now, and it's great. I admit to also getting teary eyed in a few parts.

I lived in the Seattle area for 6 years through 2007, and so I'm familiar with a some of places and people mentioned in the book including the local high performance driving instruction folks.

I picked it up today. I haven't been able to put it down for a good while. I don't read much either. Thanks for the recommendation

It's a family drama told from the perspective of the pet dog, who happens to be a fan of racing.

Not just a fan - the dog's owner is trying to make it as a pro race car driver.

I got this book as an early father's day gift from my wife, after I had read Peter Egan's review in R&T and said how much I wanted to read the book.

I sat and read it in one night. Not ashamed to say that I cried my eyes out.

The ending makes all the sad worthwhile
