Ariel Atom (Top Gear) video...

Very cool! 300bhp from a supercharged ITR engine on a ~880-lb frame. FUN! But only for tracks because it would never be street-legal here, having no windshield, exposed chassis, etc.

I thought he said 500 Kg. That's 1102.5 lbs.
Thanks for the video.
Unfortunately, it wouldn't be street legal in usa. besides that car would be a deathtrap in USA. Nobody in a SUV would know you were behind them.

they have a used one on their site for around $44k. a bargain when you consider the performance you're getting. even if it does lack all practicality.

T-Rex is street-legal and it has no windshield....not sure though if it is considered as a car; it looks more like a motorcycle to me...
MDX, I don't remember what the exact weight he says in the vid, but I thought I heard 400-something kg. So roughly, let's just say it's around 1000 lbs.

I don't know what a T-Rex is, but I'm almost certain this Atom wouldn't be street-legal. The DOT will never approve that chassis for road use. Oops, forgot to mention that I'm talking about the U.S. of A, not Canada or Europe.

Civic Type R engine.
He says 500 kg (~1100 lbs.). Ariel's website lists the normally aspirated version as weighing 456 kg (~1000 lbs.).
