Default argh. 1967 Shelby GT in paper sold for $16,500!

i noticed this car in the paper today as being SOLD. so i went backwards a few days to find the original ad! What a steal if this thing is even close to what they say. all of the sudden these (in mint condition) are going for $200k.

Ad:

Ford '67 Shelby GT350. 93,763 Miles, 2 door, standard transmission, fair condition, 8 cylinders, 2wd, am/fm, bucket seats, one of 1175 made. Damage to quarter panel. Have new to replace. $16,500.

Maybe a typo??? I can't believe a car like that would even make it into an ad. Cars of that collectability are usually "tracked" by perspective owners, and are sold by word of mouth.

Still, someone got a deal...regardless of condition (to an extent, ofcourse..)

any pics??

OHHHHH... these poor people...they answered the phone....... the grandma didn't sound to bright...... guy called at 5:30am the very first day and picked it up by 8:00am that same day......

she said it ran fine, etc......

it had to be worth a minimum of $60k with the way things are going today!

When I was about 15, my friends and I would place ads in the local paper for items like that which were rediculously low priced. When the customer service rep would ask for the phone number, we would provide the number of the guys who always fukced with us at school.
