Default Anyone own a G35?

Does anyone own a 2005 Infiniti G35 and does it still have all those problems from before? Such as the transmission grinding and not being able to put it in gear? Or front tire feathering and the sort.

I own a 2003 and it has a lot of problems like squeaking and rattling everywhere. THe 2005's are supposed to be better but I dont know since they just came out. The feathering problem is only on the 350z I think.

I would recommend looking at www.freshalloy.com in the G35 forum. But yes, the 2005's are just starting to roll out, so there aren't too many owners around. I was looking at one myself, a 2005 with the 6spd. I think it's a great car. Interior is much improved over the earlier years. Plus 298 HP with the manual! I heard the manual tranny is new this year. drove great, i still hope to be able to pick one up in the future.

I've had my 2004 G for about 15 months. Only one squeak in the armrest on the center console (and that's only when it's really cold out). Other than that, not one problem.

I've never experienced the shift lock that you are talking about, though maybe it was on the 2003's. The tire feathering is only on the 350Z, it's never been a problem on the G35c.

All in all, it's been a hell of a car....though, the tires on the 6MT (High Performance Summer tires) are terrible in the snow.

abnormally high brake wear, REALLY REALLY crappy gas mielage (even with the wife driving). I'm not sure how they got those MPG ratings, they must have been driving the car at 20 mph downhill with a good tail wind to achieve those.
