Not a bad deal. But not a great deal. 113k is pretty low mileage though. This is an E model, which is the most base-base-striper model. IIRC, they have vinyl seats, no rear swaybar, rear drum brakes, no A/C, etc.

The cars are basically bullet-proof. And if something happens to break, parts are readily available fairly inexpensive, and the car is easy to work on. Rust is their biggest issue. Watch the door jams and rocker panels and rear wheel well.

I've had a 1992 Sentra SE-R for 4 years now. No problems at all so far. My car has 108K mi on it so far.

Andrew, are you on SR20Forum? I just sold a turbo SE-R with a well sorted suspension and tune. Car was really fast on the mountain roads. Had a friend with a C5 w/ KDs that could not keep up. I'm not sure if it was cahones or the vehicle or both. He certainly had more to lose than I did.

I wouldn't get the E version unless it was for the most basic of transportation. Zero as far as performance and SR20 swaps are a pain in the E model. Suspension is different also. It will NOT be an SE-R. Rust seems to be more of an issue with the sunroof cars too.

I also have a 94 Sentra (2 door XE model). The car is great. I bought it as a beater when I used to live in NY because I couldn't subject the S to those lovely NYC roads anymore and the snow). I change its oil regularly and the car runs great! I get 34 MPG driving to work and it has saved me money in depreciation of my S due to the miles. Having to drive 80 miles a day to work until I move to Westshore, I would much rather put them on the Sentra than on the S.

Yeah, I am a user on there, but I very rarely read or post there anymore. Same username as here. There are some pics of my car up in their show forum if you search on my username there.

SR20forum.com is simply the best car forum for fix-it and technical info I've ever seen. The amount and depth of technical knowledge found on that forum is astounding.

My girlfriend had a 91 SE and it was a great economy car but not as fun as the SE-R . Talk about reliable! She finally sold it to her cousin with 217,000 miles and still running to this day. As far as problems the front axles had to be replaced at 197,000 then at 215,000 the fuel pump went out. That was it no other problems.

I had a 93 SE, they are "zippy" little cars, and parts for them are cheap and readily available as they still produce that model in South America still (I think).

^^^ Yep, you can still buy a brand new 2007 Nissan Tsuru in Mexico.

So parts availability should not be an issue anytime soon.

1993 Sentra SE-R here. Love it, Love it, Love it. Find a cheap SE-R instead ($2000-3000). Much more fun as a daily, with tons of potential. Turbo SE-Rs are in the 11s and 12s. My car with full interior weighs about 2300 lbs wet.

I currently get 24-28 mpg.

Sunroof= significant loss of chassis rigidity.

SR20forum is the best on the net. (Forum name: Viscos2000) I was a member there before I even owned my SE-R.

Looks great and very easy to work on and repair (even for a shadetree mechanic). Be diligent in your checks. (bushings, tie rod ends, axles, tranny seals, reverse and neutral tranny switches, wheel bearings, blower motor resistor) These items can add up when you need to recondition a 12 year old car.
