Anyone else scared off by M3 reliability?

To be clear, I put zero value in the opinions of folks who are willing to go out of their way to invalidate actual statistics with silly excuses and use Internet and anecdotal evidence as fact.
Making up data to support your opinion crosses the line.

Mav and steve, either you are retarted (unlikely) or as so thickheaded and full of yourself, that its beyond words.
Think about the stupidity that you are spewing out....
My thoughts dont count right, cause Ive never owned an m3. WHY THE F*CK WOULD I OWN AN M3 IF I SIT AT THE DEALERSHIP WITH MY FRIEND'S M3 3 TIMES A MONTH!?
Why would I want to endure first hand experience, if my family members, good friends, and aquaintances have nothing but problems with this car?
My car has 15000+ miles, and its NEVER been to the dealer since the day I got it.
Whatever, go buy your m3s and have fun driving a 323 80% of the time.
I guess when you spend so much money, you try to justify everything. my friend with the m3, with all his problems, thinks his car is "normal" and everything is wear and tear. Cant wait till he hears about the recall.

Well if I was retarded, I don't think I would have the financial ability to own an S2000 and M3.
Oh wait, first it was just a "friend" that owned an M3, now its your "family members, good friends, and aquaintances" as well? So which is it?
And I never said your opinion doesn't count... and I could care less if you decide to buy an M3 or not. I'm just replying to your hatred of it with my own opinions and experiences.
Enjoy your overpriced accord grannie mobile.
Now if you excuse me, I have to go board up my house before Frances blows it away.

When I was growing up we knew a guy that had my 2 favorite BMW's: '88 M6 and '90 M3. Reliability was absolutely HORRIBLE, but he loved them just the same...
I still like the M3, but since the E30's they have become so bloated, fatassed, and tech-laden:
More power, sure, but E46 M3 lacks the nigh-unbearably light, elemental, joie de vivre of the original.
