FYI on potential recall for the AWD models.
Issues with the rear drive shaft seizing up.

Honda never had a CVT issue. That's been quite a reliable part of the powertrain for their modern vehicles. The old transmissions had some issues (and even some newer ones - the Odyssey, in particular - have struggled) but you have no worries with the new CVTs, as long as you don't boost power/torque too much (turbo motors are easy to turn up the wick).

We had a 2017 EX-L which we bought new, complete rubbish. A good day it was when we got rid of it in 2020. We were plagued with oil dilution and barely any heat in winter. The interior often reeked of raw gasoline after a drive. My Honda dealer was great and did the recall twice but it never resolved either issue. I have heard that the heat issue has never really been resolved for those who live in cold climates. A RAV-4 or CX-5/50 is a much better choice IMO.

Only issue I had was the 2006. Needed a quart of oil every 1,000 miles, like clockwork. I'd have kept it, but daughter was moving out of town and I knew it wouldn't survive her, so I traded it.
The 2014 I loved, but a drunk driver put and end to that. No one hurt. 5 cars involved, 3 totaled.
I like the 2015 fine, but had to buy it due to the aforementioned drunk driver in May 2022 and paid top dollar due to the times...

My only one complaint is related to the halogen lights that come on my EX-L model, they were terrible at night thus far. I will say I am very used to driving with my super strong LED lights on my WRX and Civic Si, so going to Honda Halogens was a big change. I had a hard time seeing light on the road with these halogens. Oddly enough they put in LED daytime running lights, but the low beam and high beams are halogen. I put in some LED retrofit bulbs this evening, hoping to get better light out of them.

We replaced the low beams in my wife's CRV and my daughter's Accord coupe with LEDs. Should make a big improvement for you.
