Default Anybody own a E46 330i M3 comp package?

Was there a big difference between that and a regular 330i E46?

Wait, do you mean a 330i or an M3? I'm assuming you are asking about the 330i, IIRC there was the ZHP package, 10 more horse, a little different suspension, a few other ancillary things like it was the only way to get a certain trim inside, different headliner, etc.

I'm confused too. The M3 had a Competition Package and the 330i had a Sport Package. I don't recall the 330i having a comp package ....but I'm old and forgetful.

I owned an E46 M3 and drove a Comp Package one for a few weeks. I've also driven quite a few 330 models. If it is a question of which one to own, there is no question: the M3!

J3ffro pretty much answered it. I think the bumpers were different too.

my bad ZHP package.

A guy has one listed for 18k, haven't seen one in the area under 20k but I'm not sure if it's worth it. I gotta go test drive it but I really don't want to drive that far unless I'm absolutely for sure

I had a roommate with a ZHP (and yes there was a slightly different front bumper too, I had forgotten that) but it only stayed in stock trim about 48 hours. He changed EVERYTHING, from the suspension to a super charger, so I drove it once in stock form, tbh I didn't think it was that different from another 330i. I would say if you aren't planning on doing any mods to it, it's probably a good way to go. Suspension is a little tighter, it is a little faster, everything is more but just a little bit. But if you are planning on any mods, stick with a standard 330i.

And actually, you may wanna spend a little time looking around. You mentioned the 330i (not the Ci) so maybe you aren't interested in the coupe, but prices of M3's have dropped in the last 6 months, if you are looking in the ~20k range, for a little bit more you can go up to an M, and that difference is a lot bigger than huge. Of course I am biased ( ) but what can I say, I bought the car for a reason.

The E46 330 ZHP is a really nice car. My brother has one. Bigger stock wheels, shorter shifter, alcantara/leather seats, air dam, and a slightly more powerful engine.

It's the closest you're going to get to a 4-door E46 M3, although make no mistake, it's no M3.

They have 10hp more like statet. In addition shorter gearing, short shifter, stiffer springs/struts, sits I believe 10mm lower, mtech front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, wheels, alcantera steering wheel, alcantera/cloth seats, shift knob is different. That is all I can think of right now. Oh 300rpm higher redline.

I own a 04 330ci zhp and love it. Biggest complaint is no LSD. The car is set up to understeer rather than oversteer which I am also not a fan of. Can be corrected with a different alignment though. Here are some pics of it for reference.
