I saw the Z4 this past weekend at the NY autoshow, and this car just grows on me. I thought it was ugly at first, but I sat in it, and the interior is great, and the looks grow on me more & more. I have a fast car now, so I don't think I would get the 2.5 or 3.0, I would wait for the M version. Anybody have any information on when it's coming out or the specs/pics. Any info would be appreciated.

Official line from BMW is that they have no plans to produce an M version of the Z4. Whether they are just saying this to sell more cars now remains to be seen.

i don't think there's any info yet, if there will be anything.
it took about 3 years for m roadster came about, after z3 was introduced.
let's wait for a little while and hopefully they'll give us a sign.

btw, yes z4 is growing on me too,
but the front part- the car looks kinda sad in the front.
otherwise it's very pretty.

Seriously though, I've read the same thing that wickerbill stated earlier. No M version of the FUGLY Z4 planned.

Ugly or not, when BMW decides to release its 321 hp version Z4 "M" Roadster, with its greatly improved chassis they'll have a roadster capable of stomping both our S2000 and Porsches Boxster "S".

The current autoweek has pics of new "M" version of the Z4. It's better than the Z3, but I still don't like it.

FWIW, the Z4 program manager told us herself on Saturday morning that there were no plans for an M version of the Z4. Doesn't mean it'll never happen, though.
