check out a CPO'd IS-F.
Vs. 335:
-Nicer interior
-way more power thank a stock 335, equal power to a modded-to-hell 335 and in any case much higher reliability
-roughly equal mileage
-2 extra doors (although the backseat is like a 335 coupe)
-way fewer on the road
Vs S5:
-not as nice looking
-faster all around, better handling
-better mileage
-2 extra doors
-way fewer on the road
-cheaper than a new s5
-probably more reliable
And any tickets you get can be attributed to unintended acceleration!

The S5 is beautiful and always will be. The 335i is nice but will be replaced by the next latest and greatest in a couple years and just blend into obscurity like the E36/46.
I have to own unique/meaningful cars and have really have a hard time wrapping my mind around paying big bucks for something pedestrian. What can I say - Im a car guy!
The S5 certainly has its faults (that gas mileage!!!) - but again, its stunning to look at and has to be great to drive every day. It will age well and most likely keep you happy for a long time.

Test drove a 2007 RS4 yesterday (first time in one) and it was pretty awesome. Maybe another option for you? It was all stock but the exhaust note was stunning. It was 53k, CPO (100k miles) and only had 18k miles on it.

sounds like you need to pick looks vs more fun to drive. let us know what you decide.
the S5 is very pretty. prob some of the nicest stock wheels ever designed. but as a driver, you dont really get to enjoy the exterior that much.

BMW offers free scheduled maintenance and AUDI doesn't... Don't forget that part could save yourself some $$$$ down the road.... just saying that since I work at a BMW Center
