The current one has horrid gas milage. I believe that at 80mph its at 3000rpm in 5th gear. Must be geared agressive and for highway passing who knows...

The new one is rumored to have a 6-sp. (I'd be really surprised if it wasn't) so cruising can be at a lower rpm. Heck, my S does 80 mph @ 5,000 rpm (I have 4.44 final gear)

The 3.5 liter 310HP V6 will be used first in the new IS350 this fall. The entry IS250 will come in an AWD and RWD versions. The IS350 will be a limited production so get in early with your deposit if you want one. The IS350 will come only in an automatic shift. The IS250 RWD will have a 6 speed manual version available
