Grats on the purchase. I love GTR's but I've been reading some crap about them lately. My buddy over on the Cobalt forums knows someone at Nissan, and they state that the car is black boxed, so if you drive it rather spirited, it shows that to Nissan and voids your warranty. Not to mention the Differential lasts for about 15 launches before she blows. Not entirely sure if this information is true, but it makes you wonder how such a great performing car can only have relatively low price tag. All it all, I still want one.
Let me guess, your friends brothers dads grandma told you that?, 15 launches before the diff blows???? Im sure that the hundreds of tests it has been put through, Im sure many of them have launched it more than 15 times. How stupid would that look on nissans end? "Yes, we'll design a sports car but you can only launch it 15 times" give me a break.

There's not much difference between srt4 guys and cobalt guys... They are always trying to figure out a way to make it look like those things are the best cars ever and everything else sucks.

Its some sort of Epeen problem.

Good for you.

While I still am not a fan of the looks of that car or the lack of what I believe is a proper transmission... I continue to be amazed at the sheer amount of engineering and performance that Nissan is offering the buying public at that price point.

The GT-R is an amazing performance car at any price. At MSRP it's simply awesome.

Many happy, safe miles to you.

^ if you haven't seen one in person please retract that statement.

Everyone that has seen it in person has changed their minds about it being ugly. It's sick in person.
