I have to agree with the comments about the engine sounding similar to the S2000, although I think we can all agree that this is not a bad thing!
The first half of the video was annoying, but then it got good when he took his drive. Nope, you wouldn't have to twist my arm to take one of these. OTOH, is it worth a quarter of a million+?? Maybe as an object d'art, but as far as driving goes I reckon you could have just as much fun behind the wheel of cars costing 1/10 the price.
(I'm going through one of my supercars are overrated phases at the moment)

I got asked the other day if I thought Lambos and Ferraris were overpriced. My reply? Only until I can afford one.

the reason it sounds to some of you like an S2000 is because it's essentially two 2.2 liter fours running on a common crank. That's what makes it a flat-plane V8.
I also agree that in the video it sounded like a small honda car engine with a loud intake pipe.
We know Ferrari spends more time than most manufacturers tuning engine noise. I kind of agree the 458 is more pretty sounding than potent and powerful. Just a slight amount of rawness would be nice

No offense to anyone here, but for those of who for whom these are aspirational purchases, like the LA types who live in a dump but drive an exotic, I just can't see it as being worth it or a good idea. Get your thrills in your price range, there are great options at practically any budget.
