Well, they're a bunch of ninnies that drive Enzos and Paganis all day. For us mere mortals, 735lb-ft is all I need to put a smile on my face, no matter that the rest of the car is sub-Ferrari quality.

He was right in that video. The problems that i have noticed from my friend's SL55 is that you can't communicate with the gearbox as easily as with a manual. Good video.

We have both, and I'm telling you, the Benz is sub-Ferrari quality. In the 575, the gauges and dash are aluminum, not aluminized plastic; the seats are hand-stitched of the finest leathers, not of barbed wire punctured belly hide; the buttons and gauges are comparable to Tag Heur, unlike the AMG which manages to only pull off a Seiko; the door closing has that reassuring solid thud, unlike the airy clunk of the AMG; the buttons have the perfect resistance, and no lateral freeplay, as in the Mercedes. All around, the Ferrari is a much better built car than the Mercedes. No argument.
Oh, and 180mph in the 575 feels smoother than 150mph in the E55... And the E55 is pretty damn smooth at 150mph.
The E55 will run right with the Maranello at whatever speed you so desire. Both will pamper you in the ultimate expression of luxury and comfort, but the difference is simple: The Mercedes isn't even trying - nor is the driver.
