Trials riders are amazing.. simply amazing.
Quick question though.. What are the controls on one of those bike? Standard bike controls? I'm mainly wondering how shifting gears and the rear brake is accomplished. Seems WAY to hard to do with your feet while flying about.

Yes, standard controls, but the shift lever is positioned far forward so you have to take your foot off the peg to shift. I'm no expert by any means, but you generally select a gear prior to a section and stick w/ it. I personally have too many other things to concentrate on in a difficult section to worry about shifting!

Why not start a trials thread instead of hijacking one about motor cops negotiating 500+ lbs police motorcycles (VFR750?) around a tight and demanding skills couse?
Might as well throw in some hooligans doing wheelies and stoppies to illustrate how well they have mastered their hobby.
Props for taking on and promoting trials, but give these guys their props too...

You've got to be kidding, that trials rider is a former world champ, and has more skill in his sleep than that police bike rider! Ever tried riding trials? I just took it up, and light bike or not, it's still very challenging and physically demanding.

I agree that that police bikers are prettyimpressive as well, not trying to diminish their skills.
