Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Spotted
So...it's a nice Sunday morning...I just had breakfast with the misses and as I head off for a drive in the S2000, I see a Horseless Carriage semi parked in the parking lot...unloading an old Thunderbird...but what I see exposed inside gets my attention...
I know I've seen something like that before (in pictures, on the net, but never in person)...and for a second, I actually think about just driving off and not giving it another thought...but then I realized it might be worth a closer look...
I walk up, with camera in hand and realize that it is...indeed...an Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. As I approach, most likely with a dropped jaw, the driver of the semi (Bob, it was embroidered in his shirt) quickly said, "You never saw it" while wearing a smile. He was joking around...
I politely asked to snap a picture and he obliged. Nevermind the other "fine" cars in his trailer...I was after the Alfa Romeo. He said it was on it's way to Orlando.
Here are the pics...wish I would've had the nerve to ask if I could climb the ladder for better pics, but I didn't want to wear out my welcome.
Oh...and you'll this even more...he said he just unloaded a Ferrari California before this stop...

I think the target market is composed of those who take the attitude that if you question the value, you prob. can't afford it. That rules me out! They're drop-dead gorgeous, fast, exclusive, and there aren't many to go around.
In better economic times, I'm sure they'd have no problems selling them.
