True, they did not say the 300hp will be in 4C, but the engine exists and we can hope they add it later - mayby with roadster?

I read in a C&D magazine yesterday that the price tag is gonna be ~$85k for the US market...
Sucks, as I was really looking forward to this car, I'm out of college and getting a career underway and was hoping that this would be my first "big boy car purchase" ...not at that price tag.

Not a chance in hell it will be at used Elise prices, you realize they are going for high 20s to mid 30s now? Even used Exige S's when you can find them are around $45.
Either way, whether it's 85k or 65k, it won't matter to me for at least another 5 years

Reread what I wrote; you flipped a couple words, haha. Not used Elises, what Elises used to go for since they're not being produced anymore. Aka $55-60k.

I agree, headlights are hideous. But they managed to keep their target weight. Apparently it weighs 1973lbs and with that 240hp turbocharged engine, should make for one awesome ride. Especially once modified.
Think about it as a competitor to the new Jag F-Type which starts at around 70k and goes all the way to 92k. The Jag has a 5.0L supercharged V8 producing 495hp making a 0-60 time in 4.2 seconds while this 1973lbs 4 cylinder turbo making 240hp will get to 60 in the same time and I can bet it'll get much better MPG and feel great in the corners.
So you guys have to think that if it's priced between 60-80k it's an awesome car for it's money.

This article is similar to what Saki posted above, but with much sweeter manufacturing pictures.

Anyone who claims to be a motorhead has to own an Alfa at least once.

My Dad had an Alfa (Milano) and that was good enough for me. This car is extremely tempting, though, with that ultra-low weight and decent power. Still not sure I'd take it over a Cayman S, though! I certainly trust the German engineering in the Porsche a LOT more.
