I read in a C&D magazine yesterday that the price tag is gonna be ~$85k for the US market...
Sucks, as I was really looking forward to this car ...not at that price tag.

Sucks, as I was really looking forward to this car, I'm out of college and getting a career underway and was hoping that this would be my first "big boy car purchase" ...not at that price tag.

The 60k€ is the "launch edition" loaded with stuff
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/t...t=1260237&nmt=
60k€ is ~50k€ w/o VAT and its ~65k$
If you don't add all the leather and carbon then its probably cheaper but we will find out soon I guess

I like how all these cars now days come out with all these hyped up specs and then once released they subtract 60hp and add 200 lbs and expect us to still be interested. Lame!

This is the only place I've seen 300hp. Everywhere else I heard between 200 and 250. Goal curb weights are almost never met, but this thing is still ~2000lbs dry, probably 2100 wet.

I am not sure where i found it but i was pretty sure I saw 300hp and 2000lbs somewhere or i wouldn't have started the thread with that in the subject.....
O well.... not my kind of car at all with Lotus Elise like specs. Might have been neat 10 years ago.... too many other options for the $

Alfa Romeo has also confirmed a new 1.8 litre, 300 PS (221 kW) engine, which may or may not appear in the 4C

Let's hope they nail the throttle and steering like a rear drive Alfa is known for. Carbon Fiber body and tub is really cool considering the price. I do worry some that Italians have never been good at keep the price point low. In older days, it was rust city and poor interior fittings. What will it be in 2013?

Not a chance in hell it will be at used Elise prices, you realize they are going for high 20s to mid 30s now? Even used Exige S's when you can find them are around $45.
Either way, whether it's 85k or 65k, it won't matter to me for at least another 5 years
