Of those two cars, NSX all the way. It's not as fun but it's way more usable and moderately practical.

Otherwise, a Cayman S or Boxster S is roughly as quick, better handling, newer, just as reliable, and would also potentially have a warranty.

I love the Elise/Exige for what it is but I have no desire to daily drive it or travel long distances in it.

I'd get an Exige. I love the NSX, but something about the Exige tells me, "You know you want me."
