Congrats. By the way, the secret compartment isn't listed in the owners manual, at least not the 2002 one.

A friend got a 1SX Z51 C6 for under $40k with GMS and all the incentives. If you're really interested you can talk to him and see if he can get you a similiar deal.
IIRC GM has excluded the employee discount on the C6 since June 1st, that probably included suppliers too.

Oh yah, you got a S????

Congrats on the S, I think you'll like it. I rememeber you from way back on corvetteforum. I thought you already owned or had owned an S2000. One thing I really miss from my C5 (besides the power and torque) was the general vibe you got from driving it - a lot like I'd guess it must be to ride a Harley. Just something about Vettes that fit so well in the USA. That said, the S2000 really does offer a more visceral experience. I'll be done driving the piss out of my S2000 in about another year (3 year lease) and then maybe another Vette, not sure what year though.

I hope you enjoy the car, quick. I love it as much (well, more really) than the first day I got it three years ago.

Best wishes.

And, for god's sake, learn how to shift, would ya'?

I swear every apartment complex in Dallas looks exactly like that.

I am curious as to what made you decide to go this route? Going from a modded C5 to stock S2k is going to be quite a change.

Nice car! I really miss our S2000! Take it to redline (when she is broken in) for me when you get a chance
