Default Advice...

Well im nearing the end of my S2k lease, and im having some trouble finding a replacement.

Im at a crossroads between going all out, and getting a CR, EVO etc... or "taming" down, and getting something a bit more comfortable / affordable..

Which brings me to today... i went and test drove a CPO 2008 VW R32, and liked it. Its quick enough, sounds amazing, and you could live in the interior. 26k OTD with 2.9% Financing is great. Ill be dropping my payments abit and ill have a car that is easier to live with.

I find that its a good compromise between getting something like a used IS250 (for comfort), or getting the CR for that raw feeling that i love so much.

So what do you guys think? From what i read, all the VW reliability problems seem to be over?

I like and appreciate the VW but they continue with problems and although they have improved is not near HONDA.

EVO X is a great choice or have you looked at the new 370Z? I'm personally hunting for a White CR but those are rare as unicorns

as much as i hate VW i love that R32,......the issues i hear about scare me too but my gf has a 2000 bug with 100k and no problems ever and no check engine light which i read is extremely rare.
AWD and that sound is amazing.

If honda decides to make a S3000, probably.

You might be looking for your 3rd S2k? Switch it up man. I owned an 02 VW..it wasnt as bad as many make it out to be. That being said, I'd rather get a MINI if I didnt need FWD.

My daily driver is an 00 Golf TDI with over 169,000 miles on the clock. While I don't really enjoy driving it it just keeps going and going. No major problems.
