Added another Honda to the garage this week.
Yep guys, after all the testesterone fueled posts in this forum I am going to let you all down by telling you about my latest purchase.
A 3 year old 110cc (yes 110cc there is no zero missing) Honda postie bike.
The postie bike is based on the CT110 ag bike except it does without the high/low ratio gearbox. This little beauty has 4 forward gears, a centrifugal clutch and tops out around 55mph (OK maybe 58 with a steep downhill). Why is it called a postie bike? Simple, because Australia post uses them for all mail deliveries.
What do I think of it? Well it's a great beginners bike - I've only been riding for 32 years and it even feels safe for me. Power is down a little from the Bandit B12 I sold at Xmas but hey, it's a lot more fun zipping around town.
Seriously folks, unless you have the need to do some high speed touring (my last big blast was 4 years ago when I covered 8,000 miles in a two week tour around the top end of Australia) you really don't need more than this. But then again I hear you say, all the hot chickies aren't going to cream their jeans waiting for you to take them for a ride are they - after all, we all know that's why you want to buy a big bike.
Not all young riders are like that though. My 17yo son is rapt to the eyeballs that he can use this to ride to school when he turns 18 and is then old enough to obtain a licence - what he can't get a licence at 15 I hear you all say.
Absolutely right, the minimum licence age is 18 over here. Nothing like having a responsible government in power is there ?

Love to Welshie but unfortunately the site rescinded photo posting rights to non paid up members a while back.
Here's a link to what some owners do with them though.
