Re: the car.

I have a few hundred miles in one. Nice cars, very solid. More like a luxurious iteration of my wifes old 89 Accord 5 speed.

Or Chevy/GMC, or Hummer.

Actually, yeah, someone SHOULD tell them, because that was a dumbass move.

if volve didn't have the reputation of being as safe as tanks, people wouldn't be buying volvos. i don't think people buy volvos for the 5-cylinders.

Don't forget that Audi was one of the first with a 5-cylinder engine. [/QUOTE]
and the fact that audi ditched the 5-cylinder configuration years ago kinda tells you something, doesn't it??

mmm...the power and smoothness of a 4 combined with the fuel economy of a 6...

I second the suggestion to just get a Legend instead...or an ES300. heck, you might even want to try a 325i of that model year

OK, let's bring this back to the Honda (though still off topic from the Vigor). Didn't the original SSM have a 5-cylinder engine -- that's the concept car for the S2000?

My Volvo V70 has it's issues, but the 5 Cyl. light turbo GLT motor is NOT one of them. For a wagon, it moves along just fine. I've dusted some respectable sedans with it. A K&N helps, and there are turbo mods for the brave of heart.

Volvo's been building strong 5 cyls for a long time. They're pretty reliable. And, yes, I would have loved a 5 cyl in my S2000.
