I hear bad things about this car. 5 cylinders don't make sense to me anyway, but I from what I can tell this thing is a POS.

yeah, you're better off getting the first generation TL v6. or the last gen acura legend.

I haven't heard anything bad about it myself. But if there ever was an Acura that looked like a barely tarted up Accord, it's the Vigor.

I was considering getting that car a few years ago. The car is old now. I know its a Honda and all but reliabtility would still be on my mind not to mention the interior is going to pretty worn as well.

Copied from CarSurvey.com .... sigh.

The Vigor was the split between the V4 cylinder Integra and the V6 Legend, with the all new in line 5 cylinder engine. This was a great development from the Japanese manufacturer (ACURA) intented to achive great power (176 HP) from it's 2.5 Liters, without the weight of a V6 or the vibration of a V4 with the same displacement.

Bumps, dips, decreasing radious turns, all these things can upset a car's balance, not to mention the car's driver, that's is not a problem to the Vigor because of the Formula One Inspired Double Wishbone Suspensithis gives you a solid, but a comfortable ride.

Transmissions included a five speed manual or four speed automatic. The result was a car that was quicker from 0 to 100 Km/H (0 to 60 Mp/H) than the Lexus ES250, Audi 80 Quattro, even the Nissan Maxima and many others, the Vigor was the best and it was second to none in his category.

The interior of the vigor I too much better tha many others car mades (of the similar years) like BMW, MB, Lexus, and Nissan. The only fault that everyone hate on the vigor is he back row legroom space, but its simple, to modify the seat, and make a mora small seat, but more legroom.

LOL modify the seat huh? Simple yeah sure.

I never understood the point of buying real old luxury cars. They aren't worth the trouble.

ROFL Steve, that excerpt was only marginally more understandable than our friend at the BMW forums.

And a Vigor outpacing a Maxima? Ya...if the Maxima ain't moving, sure. Otherwise the Max has more power and torque, and is lighter.
