Honda doesn't care what we think about Acura. They only care what the shareholders think and are puppets to them.

We should be so happy as to get a next gen nsx...the worst part is that they don't even learn from their mistakes. What happened when they displayed their first concept of the next gen nsx?!!...The public hated it and they had to lose another 2 years redesigning it from the ground up. And yet here we are again...awd and front engine oh and 160K+(really Acura...160K+ to start on this car, What ever the shareholders gave you to smoke, pass some of that to me...I wanna be in fairytaleland as well). To me its a rebadged GTR. And if I want a GTR...I'll go to the original maker even though it looks like ass to me. I'm not even gonna say "They need to do this, they need to do that" because I'm wasting my time and I have accepted that.

To be honest with you I don't think there's gonna be a next gen s2000. I think they're gonna kill it in a year or maybe(if we're so lucky) two and call an end to it. I'm just glad I got a chance to get mine.

Dude keep your shirt on... How is it a rebadged GT-R? The NSX was on american soil first. You must not know Honda very well if you think the NSX successor will be as unrefined as the GT-R.

Everybody freaked out at how great the Altima coupe was before the smooth refined quality piece Accord came along. The same deal will be apparent with the NSX/GT-R. It better be given the price difference. HONDA HAS NOT SAID 160K so I'm not going to cry about it.

Da Fit is da Shit! Rebadge that as Acura and it will kick the GT-R's ass.

The newer Acuras and their "corporate grill" is hideous. The RDX is nice(Owned one and traded it for my S2K) but is a gas guzzler.

Here's an idea, plant that turbo I-Vtec(K23) into a coupe and sedan with a 6 speed manual transmission in RWD.Keep the weight low.

Lol, instead of calling it Fit call it Buff or Ripped.

Anyway, if Acura seriously wants to compete against the 3 series, C Class, and IS, they will need one key element= RWD. Yes, Honda does wonders with fwd, but if they really want to distance themselves from their origins, they're going to need to offer the fundamentals the other brands have.
Seriously speaking, if they made a RSX/Civic size rwd coupe powered with a K series or a V6, I'd be all over that (unless the subayota coupe comes with the wrx turbo, mmmm, but even then still very tempting). Unfortunately, they may make the masterstroke of producing a rwd coupe, but then make it weigh over 3500lbs.

As I have said before, I'm over Honda/Acura. They don't care what their consumers want, and they basically keep making the "safe" (boring) decisions. As other people in this thread have said, Honda has become a follower, not a leader. The only glimmer of hope I see is the new CR-Z, but we'll have to see where they take that.

As far as the NSX, I predict that it will be a great car, but I promise you that it will be expensive enough that few people will buy it over the GTR and other supercars. This is also due to the fact that Acura's brand identity is pretty much nonexistant right now.

Until they start making RWD/AWD (real AWD, not some 80% FWD BS) cars that actually look good and have decent power (basically a complete turnaround at this point) I don't care anymore.

How can you say that, when back in May the Civic was THE highest selling car in the US?

Obviously a LOT of people like what the Civic offers, and therefore it's pretty easy to conclude that Honda is making exactly what their consumers want.

They simply aren't making what YOU want, it seems.

I believe the discussion was about the Acura branded line, not Honda.
