Great car. The manual won't have the tranny problems of the automatic. Only problem will be resale value (not many people out there want manual luxury sedans).

We had a 2000 TL (non-S, automatic), and even though it ate transmissions (3 total in 80K miles) and the interior was slightly cheaped out compared to a German luxury car, it's still a nice ride and extremely reliable (except for the tranny).
Well, for an Acura that retailed for just over $30k new 4 or so years ago, that is now going for $13k used, I doubt resale value is much of a concern. The market on these cars favors the buyer, not the seller.

Very true, this is why I'm considering picking this up. its a little under 100 miles away though, so I want to make sure it's worth my time. The majority of the reviews iv'e read we're really good. Alot of people are mentioning the TL for some reason. Of course I'd take a TL over a CL....but a TL is not gonna be 13k lol. I just want to make sure this is a, for the most part, reliable car. Cause I haven't really read any other major problems..other then the auto tranny. It seems like a steal if you ask me.

Test drove a 2003 CL type S 6 speed last year and it was the most disappointing test drive of my life.

Horrible tires, horrible brakes, horrible brake feel, no steering feel at all, torque steer city, super floaty boat-style suspension....

The only thing I liked was the engine sound and the seats. What a shame, a great engine in a bad chassis.

I like the CL-S. It was a great car, and so capable. Very quick and powerful, nice amenities, and classy shape. Most people, as it has been stated, had problems with the auto-tranny; but the manual is great. I have driven one, and I was pleased. It seemed engaging, and only under severe WOT does the torque steer become a problem.

I was planning to sell my Prelude for one, but I wanted a new car and found myself a S2000.

I love the CL-S. Never got to drive a 6 speed but my buddy has an '01 Type S and it is a great car. There are no known issues with the CL model besides the auto tranny.

For $13k, I would pick that up in a second. I bought my 99 TL with 91k miles in 2005 for $10 and that was a good buy.

God, the CL was one very boring-looking car. It's much more boring-looking than a Camry.

The CL!

Oh, the new Camry doesn't look boring to me. It actually looks good.
