Are you going to keep the Miata?
To me these are all great cars. I couldn't say for sure until I drove them, I'm sure they are as different as night and day.
You'd get a kick out of any of them and lets not forget the NSX is a great car in its own right.

GT3 if you can swing it.
Personally, i don't think i could be happy with a 997 's' knowing it isn't the best the brand has to offer (as well as the fact that the gt3 is an absolutely phenomenal car). The 997 's' is just too much money for the power it has. It does everything very well but nothing brilliantly IMO. The gt3 is a head turner compared to the 's' (although you can be a poseur and buy an aero kit) and it has the racing pedigree and performance.
I am going to take a look at the 997 's' in a few weeks, perhaps i'll report back here.
You should def. take a look at the Benz SL55 AMG. It is seriously quick and good value, though not much of a drivers car.

You guys may or may not believe this, but I read (on rennlist) that Porsche makes the most money on the 911 turbo and Chaeyenne turbo and the LEAST money on the GT3.
I think the reason being it has a superior engine (far superior to the 355hp unit in the GT3), in fact it costs $17K (factory power kit) to get 380hp from the 3.8L engine so the 3.8L + $17K is still not as good as the GT3 engine (may have a bit more TQ tho).
Then you have the extra features (LSD, suspension set-up, aero package) etc. If you option the 911S with the power kit and aero pack it will cost as much as the GT3.
Also porsche has to R&D the GT3 for a small number of units.
Finally look at the price difference b/t the 360 and the 360 CS it's like $40K more for the CS while the GT3 is almost the same price as a 911S with power and aero kits.

Ford GT is still commanding mrsp, expecially now that its no longer in production. Gallardos still go for a pretty penny, and rightfully so. $140-150k for an 04, 160k-190k for an 05, etc. Now I'm just pulling this out of my ass, but I have a feeling the R8 is going to continue with the recent Audi trend.. great looks, build & interior but lacking in performance compared to competitors. Audi doesn't lack racing pedigree, but the R8 will. Its not built to be a race car like the GT3.. its a luxury super GT. I vote for 997s

It is my understanding that the Turbo and GT3 have the same 3.6L block. Obviously, the internals are quite a bit different between the two models.
Either way, I'm sure Porsche makes plenty of money on all their models.

im surprised with all the other magazines talkin about immense grip, they talked about how the 997 is a little tail twitchy... they also mention, the 997 has less rear negative camber... so that may be adjusted... also, if i recall correctly, 997's come with adjustable sway bars... so that can aid in some of the body roll incase you gotta run in "PASM-Normal" mode...

Man, your price range is ALL OVER the map. $115k gets you a LOT of nice cars. Have you considered an AMG SL55?
If a back seat is a requirement, how about an Audi RS4, new M3 or M5? The 911 is a great car, but $115k for the GT3 is pretty bloody steep, especially for a race-prepped street car that will rarely see the track. If you really like the Porsche, I'd go with the C4S and save $30k.
Since you seem to change cars every few years, have you considered leasing? Save you the huge depreciation and you can lease just about whatever you want. Just a thought.
Personally, I would have a hard time overlooking the Z06. You simply cannot get a faster, better handling car for anywhere near the price. However, since we're talking about street cars, I'd lean towards the 911S or C4S. Attractive car, plenty fast for most people, and it kinda has a back seat.
The AM V8 is a beautiful car. Given the cash and the requirement that I have another car to drive when it's not sunny, I'd have one in the garage.
