Default 911 tt vs AMG SL55 vs cold hard cash

911 tt
XD50 power package
450hp 457-TQ
0-100 8.8sec

AMG SL55
493hp 516-TQ
0-100 9.9sec

now all you car guys let's say you have the choice between these two beasts free and clear both with a list price of $134K.

Or behind door number three we have a pile of $100 bills (one thousand of them). After taxes.

You make the call.

Also please note you can't sell the cars. Like say drive the car for a year and sell it for $100K or something like that. It's either the car or the cash.

good question (that would add up to a lot of money). No taxes for anything.

This makes the cars so much of a better deal because no income tax or sales tax.

Still $100K invested in stock or real estate can go a long way.

i'd take the cash. the fundamental financing rule is that "a dollar today is worth more than a dollar a year from now." besides, as awsome as those vehicles are, and as much as i love performance driving, i really do not have the need for a car of that caliber at this point of my life. not only do i not want to deal with their insurance, but i also don't want to have to deal with spending a fortune for track days just so i can enjoy the potentials of those vehicles. throw in free insurance and unlimited free track days for 5 years, then i'll probably take the porsche...

You're hard to please, what else you want? Free gas and tires and free weekly detailing? j/k

If I couldn't sell either car, I would take the cash and put it down on a nice house. The cars will come later.

Cash.

Money speaks volumes, and opens a lot of doors for future opportunities.
