91 nsx or..... your exisiting s2000?

I love NSX threads.
Anyone considering a 10+ year old car needs to realize that the car is not going to be perfect. I have a 10 year old LS400, arguably a better put together and more reliable car than the NSX ... and it is not without some faults. Whereas I am willing to accept things like rattles, random warning lights and some interior wear on an 8k used LS400 I would not be so forgiving at 30k.
A 12 year old car that runs low 14's / high 13's is not a super car. It is a super expensive car for the performance ...
What are you doing to your 911? My TT had just one rattle which was fixed by the dealer with some teflon tape. The blose system can cause some nasty vibrations though ...

I recently had the opportunity to drive a '91 NSX 5 speed. This particular car had 44,000 miles on it (approx).
The *only* thing I liked better about that car, was the incredible engine sound coming from behind you.
And that is almost enough for me to want to make the switch, but then I remember how much better I like the S2000 in almost every other way.
I'd still like to test drive a 97+ w/ the 3.2 litre and 6 speed to see if my opinion changes on the NSX.

Got some pros and cons for me from your drive?
Im trying to schedule a date where i can go test drive it.
Unless the car totally blows me away, will i get rid of the S. All the arguments are valid and hold their own wieght.
As far as the financial situation goes. I would not like to spend more then 4k on this car. That includes repairs and everything until 70 to 80k. Taking into consideration that its already got 30k on the clock.

shift- here are a few comparisons... keep in mind a lot of this will have to do with the fact that the NSX I drove was 13 years old... and any 13 year old car will not be in "100%" shape.
Gear shifter - the NSX shifter was not nearly as "close-ratio" as ours is. It was not as smooth, not as precise.
Pedals - I didn't like the pedal placement in the NSX. I found it extremely hard to heel-toe. I also found that even with only size 10 feet, that it was very cramped.
Steering - I believe the '91's don't have power steering, or at least that is how it felt. It was very hard to turn the wheel at lower speeds in parking lots.
Seats - I found the NSX seating position and comfort to be better than the S2000.
Windows - The NSX windows were very slow to operate. Whether this has to do with it being an old car, or the fact that our S2000 windows operate quicker than any car I've seen, its hard to say what the reason was, but I didn't like it at all.
Storage - The '91 never had cup holders. But it had a nice sized centre area, and glove box.
Handling - I wish I could comment here, but it was the beginning of December when I drove the car, and it was barely 30 degrees outside. I never pushed it thru corners, but you could tell it would handle very well.
Overall, I would never in a million years take a '91 NSX over an S2000.
I would really like to drive later model years to see what improvements they made.

Don't get me wrong... lets say I could afford two 30,000 cars... I'd probably consider buying an NSX... I'd want to find one that is a bit more updated... even a '94 or '95 has many of the changes I'd want

See the thing is in a couple of years i'll hopefully be in med school. At that time i definatly wont have money for an NSX. I was thinking, i put another 2gs on my loan and take this one. The chance for an NSX is now or after 6 years. But im not gonna buy it unless it out does the S in every category.
