The NSX is one sweet ride and if Honda had never made the S2000,I would be considering what you are now. There are several issues with the early NSX's so just beware. These issues can be very expensive ;like 4000.00 clutch repairs. Be sure the previous owner did all the regular maintance plus any of the TSB's. Insist on complete documentation.

Much like the boxster is to the 911, the only folks who buy the older pre 3.2 liter NSX's are folks who need lots of attention and can't afford the later and faster version.

If someone tools around in a 50's Vette or a 60 Ferrari, I wouldn't assume that he wants a newer car. Some people have an attachment to a car from a certain time period.

Thanks for the info guys, i would want complete documentation of all service records. I heard there was also a gearing problem, to when they fall under vtec when shifting at redline?? I think i agree with most of you guys. The fact that i know everything thats happened to my car, and that would just be a question mark with the NSX. Either way i think i'll go test drive it. And no i dont have 20k sitting in a liquid fund that i can use.

Guys i found a very similar thread on nsxprime.com
http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread....&threadid=27153
Check it out.
All they did was confuse me even more. The forum bias's seems to cloud the facts.

Every forum is going to be biased in favor of its respective car...personally, I'd stick with the S2000 if it's going to be a daily driver and primary car. I think a lot of us have considered this same decision. I went with the S2000 because I put a lot of miles on my cars, and I believe the S2000 will cost less to maintain in the long run. I don't know that for a fact, but it's a gamble I made.
Now, if this weren't my primary car, or if I were wealthier, I'd probably have gone with the NSX. They're a joy to drive and obviously look great. If you have money to cover maintenance, then go for the NSX. Hell, you only live once...
